About the Founder
Founder and President of Gough & Randolph Clothiers, Morris Gough is an award-winning, locally-renowned Interior Designer, Image consultant, and Event Planner. He attended the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, and majored in Interior Design. He has over 6 years of professional design experience. He is also the Founder & President of Gough Designs & Events, the parent company from which the clothier originated.
Since the young age of 14, Morris has always had business and money-making on his mind. He started making centerpieces and custom Christmas wreaths for neighbors, friends, & family members. Morris has many inspirations for his work. Two of his many idols are his mother, for showing him the ins & outs of design (she, too was a designer before her passing) and Martha Stewart, for her business management skills and her ability to create many masterpieces.
While the business is still in its early stages, Morris has done a lot of events at his “day job” at The League for People with Disabilities in Baltimore, such as the Grand Opening for their Autism Sensory Room and the League’s Annual Fundraiser Dinner. He is also on the R&R Committee which allows him to plan most of the high-end events there; at present, Morris is working on the beginning details for the annual company Christmas party. Among his favorite events was his own 21st Birthday Bash at the Brass Elephant in downtown Baltimore, truly a spectacular night.
Since then, he has accumulated many clients and undertaken several challenges that have furthered his skill set. Morris is always looking for new and exciting challenges; his most recent challenge was a table design entry for the 18th Annual Great Chefs' Dinner, sponsored by The Family Tree which helps prevent child abuse in Maryland. The theme for the evening was "Paris Meets Paradise" and was held April 27th at the Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Grand prize is recognition as a Table Designer in Style Magazine. "Our goal is to work closely with our clients to determine and create an environment that is a reflection of their needs - whether it is a single room, an entire home, buying a whole new wardrobe, or planning that spectacular party that no one will forget. We pride ourselves on meeting budget and scheduling requirements, and we believe in open communication as a key to achieving your desired results."
